I have 22 years experience working in the fields of both mental health and addictions, providing structured evidence-based psychological treatment. Prior to my private practice, I worked as a CBT Therapist within NHS Primary Care Mental Health, providing both 1:1 and group sessions of psychological therapy within GP surgeries and other community venues. As part of my private practice, I also worked as a sessional therapist for 5 years at The Priory. I have specialist interests working with neurodivergence such as ADHD, as well as drug and alcohol addictions.
During my career I have worked within a variety of clinical settings, such as the NHS and private sector Mental Health Services, Community Drug & Alcohol Teams, HM Prison Service, Probation Service, Youth Offending Teams and Magistrate/Crown Courts. As a result, I have experience of working with a variety of client groups and different age ranges from young people to older adults. I am also experienced in providing both individual therapy and group work sessions.
I am recognised as an approved practitioner for several health insurance providers, such as Bupa, AXA, Aviva, Nuffield Health, WPA and The Priory.
As a registered CBT practitioner, I am required to adhere to strict standards of practice and professional codes of conduct. For more information, please see the websites of the appropriate professional bodies.
