I have 19 years experience working in the fields of both mental health and addictions, providing structured evidence-based psychological treatment.  Most recently prior to working in private practice, I worked as a CBT Therapist within NHS Primary Care Mental Health, providing both 1:1 and group sessions of psychological therapy within GP surgeries and other community venues.  Until recently, I also worked for 5 years for The Priory and I have a specialist interest in working with drug and alcohol addictions.

During my career I have worked in a variety of settings, such as NHS Mental Health, Private Sector, Community Drug & Alcohol Teams, Prison Service, Probation, Courts and Youth Justice.  I have experience of working with a variety of client groups and different age ranges from young people to older adults and also of providing both individual and group work sessions.

I am also an accredited member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and recognised as an approved practitioner for health insurance providers, such as Bupa, AXA, Aviva, Nuffield Health and The Priory.

As a registered CBT practitioner, I am required to adhere to strict standards of practice and professional codes of conduct.  For more information on professional codes of conduct, please see the websites of the appropriate professional bodies.
